is going on a Summer Schedule. There will be occasional posts in the hot months, but in general we will return on a regular basis in the Fall. This will give me time to finish up some book projects.

However, don't despair! My brother blog, B MOVIE NIGHTMARE, will maintain a regular schedule during the summer months and may even come out with more frequency. Yeah!

Here it is! My first collection of reviews taken from this blog -- these reviews were originally posted many years ago. 

There are sections on horror films; sci fi films; movies of intrigue and suspense, including film noir; cliffhanger serials; monster movies; B movie series (Crime Doctor, Nancy Drew etc.); TV shows; exploitation films (admittedly the shortest section in the book); spies; and Alfred Hitchcock. Admittedly, Hitch rarely made a "B" movie but the book, like this blog, also covers genre movies from A to Z. The films are listed in chronological order in each section, and there are movie stills as well. Available in the following formats: Kindle, trade paperback, and hardcover. NOTE: Dean Parkin not only played the Cyclops, but also was the giant man in War of the Colossal Beast, the sequel to The Amazing Colossal Man.

POSTHUMOUS

POSTHUMOUS. 

My latest thriller, for people who love movies, celebrities, psychos, and suspense fiction, is entitled POSTHUMOUS. Below is a description. It's available in hardcover, trade paperback, and inexpensive kindle editions on amazon.

"Anna Corrigan, the daughter of the late movie star and entertainer Mavis Edwards, has spent years trying to deal with the emotional fall out from the decades she spent with her often difficult and neurotic mother. Anna attends her sister Estelle's singing showcase at a tiny supper club uptown, where she encounters some of her mother's "friends" from the past. These include a crooked business manager named Louie Mayhew; her old co-star Jerry Giddings, who has fallen on hard times; her bitchy rival Marjorie Easterbrook; choreographer “Busy” Borroway, an unrepentant child molester who numbered Mavis Edwards among his victims; and George Kelker, a director who refused to hire Mavis Edwards for an important production many years before. George is only the first of these individuals to be horribly murdered by a crazed female intruder who, Kelker's wife insists, looks just like Mavis Edwards! There had always been nutty stories in the tabloids about Mavis Edwards being alive and hidden in a sanitarium and with all these reports of a crazy lady who resembles her beginning to surface, Anna wonders if it could possibly be true. Great Old Movies wishes everyone a great holiday season and a very, very happy New Year.

This week I review the Christmas favorite A Christmas Carol with the wonderful Alistair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge, and a couple of Xmas-themed horror films. Rounding out the week are two movies that must have seemed like good bets for Holiday viewing -- Samson and Delilah and Julie Andrews in Star! -- but maybe weren't such good choices after all. (Maybe I should have stuck with Perry Mason!)

Anyway, have a great 2019! (Look for an announcement about my new movie blog coming soon!)
