I'm curious to see what you think of it. I was surprised to find that I liked the new version better than the old one! The Branagh version has come in for some serious HATE that I don't think it necessarily deserves. The old version is perhaps too artificial.
Williamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03053290865549099074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8212867859094085036.post-49304769970803120032018-03-16T08:48:19.533-04:002018-03-16T08:48:19.533-04:00I still have not seen the new one, Bill, I keep pr...I still have not seen the new one, Bill, I keep procrastinating, and I think it is because this 1974 film is so unsatisfying to me. Why don't I like Finney's Poirot? The rest of the cast is stellar--I am a huge fan of Bergman, Bacall, the great Rachel Roberts and the rest. But something just doesn't gel...I blame my lack of love for Finney, who I do like in Tom Jones. It's a mystery I need to unravel by seeing this again...and then maybe the remake.
-Chrisangelman66https://www.blogger.com/profile/16471674180789592940noreply@blogger.com
